Premium Aroid Mix

Our Premium Aroid Mix is a carefully crafted blend that combines tree fern, coco coir, and perlite. This unique mix is designed specifically to create the optimal environment for your alocasias. And works equally well for philodendrons, scindapsus, and anthuriums.

Start seedlings and baby plants with our Premium Aroid Mix. When they become mature plants (ready for 4-inch pots & up), repot into Winnie's Grown-up Aroid Mix. 

2 different sizes:

• 20oz: good for eight 4-inch pots
• 35oz (jumbo size): good for three 5.5-inch pots 

Key Features:

New Zealand Tree Fern: Adds bulk, aeration, and helps with moisture retention, creating a spongy texture.

Coco Coir: Retains moisture while allowing for good drainage. It’s an organic material that also helps buffer the pH.

Perlite: Enhances drainage and prevents soil compaction, helping to keep the mix light and airy.

Characteristics:

Moisture retention: This mix will hold moisture well, making it ideal for plants that like their roots to stay moist but not waterlogged.

Aeration: Decent aeration due to the perlite, but less pronounced compared to Grown-up Aroid Mix.

Texture: More lightweight and a bit finer compared to Grown-up Aroid Mix, with good moisture retention but not as fast-draining.

Optimal pH Levels: The combination of New Zealand tree fern, coco coir, and perlite creates an environment where the pH levels are naturally balanced, aligning perfectly with the preferences of aroids.

Healthy Root Development: The well-aerated and well-draining nature of the mix promotes strong and healthy root systems, contributing to overall plant stability and vitality.
